Green is Good

Been struggling for a few days. This morning was good to see a drop, even if only 1 pound. Today was good/bad on eating. Good on my choices, but struggled again tonight with the quantity. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning.

Frustration Alert!

Is this day #2 or 3 of RED?  "Who cares" is my answer! I'm just tired of it... real tired! I did figure out my mistakes were in my menu. Too much of a good thing: AVOCADO! I had the most fabulous Grilled Cajun Chicken w/ Avocado Salsa. And as yummy as avocado is, it's a boatload of caloric intake.

And in the snack department, it's back to measure spoons and cups. I think my idea of 2 tablespoons of hummus is WAY MORE than what is REAL... The sugar snap peas where a great partner, but the hummus was a killer.

Back to the drawing board...

RED Day ~ Aaarrgghh!

Well like I said, RED days come along with the weight loss journey.  Went back over my eating for yesterday and see some adjustments I need to make for today. I had steak and grilled veggies for dinner. I got a little lax on the olive oil (good for you, but a calorie hog.) I also had a way larger portion than needed... but sometimes it's easy to eat way more than needed while convincing yourself it's JUST PROTEIN. Well maybe a little extra chicken, but with steak you need to be a little more careful. Especially if its not a real lean piece of meat.

Anyway friends, I'm off to the gym to help myself not be discouraged. These things happen, just need to make some eating adjustments and keep my body in motion!!

Family, Food & Fun

It's Saturday!! Just as good in my opinion as Friday... nicely followed by Sunday of course!! I've managed to stay eating healthy and my weight is continuing to drop. I've got that magical number of 150 in my head, but realize getting below 200 is the first goal.

Breakfast was an amazing lite calorie breakfast sandwich made with turkey bacon, egg whites, and a wholewheat, multi-grain muffin. Total 230 calories of DELISH!

Lunch was just served and it included fresh grape tomatoes, thin sliced turkey, non-fat feta sprinkled and a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar ~ totes amazing as a friendly aussie would say...

Off to the gym to keep the internal fires burning and my goals in sight...

I love GREEN Day!

Had a great day yesterday re: my eating and exercising!  It paid off with a 6.6 pound loss!! Now remember everyone, the large dropping isn't going to last! I've got a lot of weight to lose and the heavier you are, the more you will see in the beginning as well as when you really start changing your eating habits. Our bodies just naturally know what to do when we feed it the right stuff!

*** Remember, junk in produces junk out ~ hence... healthy in produces healthy out.... Have a great day! Savor the good days, sadly I (you) will have bad ones comes along... don't anticipate them, but do rejoice in your successes and work harder when the harder days come along!!
